The top of this urn pendant unscrews into a small container. The Aventurine crystal is NOT hollow, the container is built above the stone. It will hold roughly a quarter teaspoon of ashes.
To open the urn, simply unscrew from the top and you will be able to see the inside container. Here you can store human remains or pet remains. Feel free to put other items in as well, such as sand, soil, strands of hair, fur, or any other sacred item. These pendants come with a small funnel and a stainless steel stick. These tools are to help push the items through the funnel carefully, neatly and efficiently.
This comes with a stainless steel chain of your choice which you can choose upon checkout. The long, 30" ball chain can easily be cut down at home with a pair of scissors.
